We purchased OTAPAWA SKYMATE, the highest priced Hereford bull at the 2004 NATIONALS for $32,000 in partnership with John and Bernice Loveridge from KEELRYN STUD. We felt his near perfect EBV'S were almost justified the price we paid for him alone. We hoped that when we applied his EBV figuresto our own breeding program, that this would ensure "ön paper" excellence in his progeny, and it has, but he has delivered so much more.
John and Bernice have enetered the first Skymate bull calf at the 2006 National Beef Expo as a yearling and he does look outstanding and should prove a real bonus to someone's breeding program.

His moderate birthweight and short gestation EBV'S means he works well over both Heifers and Cows and he passes on the benefits of his huge milk, growth, MCW and EMA EBV'S, and his awesome Breed Object Index Values, $60 for Hereford Prime and $55 for Export, to his progeny.
His Dam is legendary OTAPAWA LEONORA P23 (SBM) an exceptional SILVER BENCHMARK cow, who's genetics have been exported to Mexico, Canada, South America, and Australia.
On the recent National Hereford Herd Tour, he was described by many as The Best Stud Sire In New Zealand Today, with a number of semen package orders being recieved.
